Callouses
it seems, grow
not on fingers
but feelings
to protect
not the fullness
of blisters
but emptiness
of longing.

I am a musician, a father, a spouse, a brother and friend. I seek wisdom, treasure spiritual depth, follow a hope that makes fertilizer out of fear and celebrate joy that transforms sorrow.

Hi Steve, I know this is my first post in your blog, but I've been listening your guitar classes on youtube and some one jamplay.... and I know you are great!
I'd really don't know how to play the guitar and I'm already 25 but anyways I know God can performe great miracles even like this one.
Yesterday I stood awake until 1am in the morning trying to play Jingle Bells the right way... Today I'm still practicing.
Anyways, I'm sure I'll do it soon with your help and easy / understandable classes.

I'm glad to hear of your progress and dedication, Maurcio. That makes all the difference! I'm also glad to part of your learning process and look forward to hearing more news as you continue to advance!
Cheers,
Steve
Oh, that is great! The brevity and pace of the poem are perfect for the sentiment.
I have a poetry blog too if you'd be interested in seeing it. :)
